LUCENA CITY — Three motorcycle riders and a pedestrian died on Wednesday and Thursday (Nov. 2 and 3) in separate road accidents in Rizal and Cavite provinces.

In Antipolo City, Rizal, Lito Villorente, while crossing the road in Barangay Calawis at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, was hit by a passing motorcycle driven by Jericho Esto.

Villorente was rushed to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center but died while undergoing treatment.

The motorcycle driver is in police custody and faces criminal charges.

Meanwhile, police reported that Junry Escototo was driving his motorcycle with Jericho Revola as his back-rider along the Antero Soriano highway in Barangay Tejero in General Trias City, Cavite, around 9:50 p.m. on Wednesday.

In trying to avoid bicycle rider Marden Talla, who was running ahead of them and just made an “abrupt and careless U-turn,” the motorcyclists fell from their vehicle and landed on the pavement, the report said.

The two suffered injuries and were taken to two hospitals, but Escototo expired along the way. Police arrested Talla. INQ
