Woman drowns in Tanjay City river

DUMAGUETE CITY––A woman died after she drowned Monday in a river in Tanjay City.

Eva Villacampa, 40, tried to cross the Novallas River but was carried away by the strong current.

A man rescued the victim and attempted to revive her.

But since Villacampa’s condition did not improve, she was rushed to the Urgent Care Clinic.

However, the attending physician declared her dead on arrival.
