Traffic enforcer dead in Cavite road mishap
LUCENA CITY — A 44-year-old traffic enforcer died on Tuesday after being hit by a truck in Carmona town in Cavite province.
A report from the Region 4A police said on Wednesday, Dec. 14, that Sammy Osena was standing on the side of the highway in Barangay Maduya around 1:30 p.m. when hit by an Isuzu Aluminum van driven by Nelson Amores.
Osena suffered body injuries and died on the spot.
Amores was negotiating a curve but “got confused” in the control of the vehicle and accidentally bumped the victim, the report said.
The driver remains in police custody.
