Retired Army soldier shot dead in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – A retired Army soldier was shot dead by an unidentified gunman on Saturday, July 9, in Sariaya town in Quezon province, report said Sunday.

Sariaya Police, in a report, said Salvador Sales, 50, was repeatedly shot by a still unidentified assailant while he was traveling aboard his motorcycle in Barangay Bignay 2 at around 4:10 p.m.

The gunman escaped after the shooting and left his target dead on the spot.

The police are conducting further investigations to unmask the gunman and establish the motive behind the killing.
