Pagcor unveiled a new symbol for its 40th anniversary.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. unveiled the new insignia on July 11.

“I will be honest with you. I am not affected at all,” Pagcor President Alejandro Tengco maintained.

In an ambush interview, he said, “We made a good decision and yung decision na iyon ay paninidigan namin.”

(We made a good decision and that decision, and we will stand by it.)

Pagcor spent P3 million for the rebranding campaign of the agency.

Tengco said the amount was used to create a new logo and produce other materials.

“Hindi lamang P3 million yung logo lang. There are so many other deliverables granted from the designer tulad (ng) like manuals,” Tengco explained.

“Mali yung pag-iisip na yung 3 milyon para sa logo lang. (Pero) merong mga aral na ginawa at maraming gamit din ang kailangan pang asikasuhin yung designer,” he said.

(It is wrong to think the 3 million was just for the logo. (But) studies are being done, and there are many things that the designer needs to attend to.)

The paraphernalia will be displayed and used in around 45 Pagcor properties.

The adverse reactions to the new logo prompted calls for a probe in the House of Representatives.
