Lani Cayetano is Taguig City’s mayor again

MANILA, Philippines — Rep. Maria Laarni “Lani” Cayetano has been proclaimed as Taguig City’s new mayor.
The Commission on Elections said Cayetano obtained 272,876 votes and won the mayoral race.
Lani is the wife of Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano, who is currently vying for a Senate comeback.
Alan Peter Cayetano posted on his Facebook a livestream of his wife’s proclamation.
Cayetano had served as the representative of Taguig since 2019. Prior to that, she was the mayor of the city in 2010.
She had also served as the representative of Taguig–Pateros from 2007 to 2010.
