Katana-wielding man robs delivery rider
An online shopper was arrested on Monday for robbing a courier who delivered the watch that was bought online. Police arrested the suspect, Rvee Audrey Sotto Dela Cruz, 31, for robbing the courier [identity withheld] who delivered the Seiko watch, worth P15,000, that the suspect ordered online. The courier brought the watch to the suspect’s Quezon City address but he was instead told to proceed to a nearby alley. Upon arrival, the suspect showed up with a 27-inch katana, threatened the courier, and forcibly grabbed the watch. The victim and his employer then sought the help of the Quezon City police, which led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the watch. —ABBY BOISER
