LIST: Suspended classes due to habagat on August 2, 2023
MANILA, Philippines — Classes in public and private schools have been suspended in some provinces on Wednesday, August 2, due to inclement weather caused by the southwest monsoon, locally known as the “habagat.”
According to the state weather bureau, the habagat continues to be strengthened by Typhoon Falcon (international name: Khanun) and is currently affecting parts of Luzon.
Below is the list of cities, municipalities, and provinces across the country that have suspended classes and government work:
Region 1 (Ilocos Region)
- Pangasinan
- Dagupan City – all levels (public and private), including government work
- Calasiao – all levels (public and private)
Central Luzon
- Pampanga – entire province, all levels public and private until August 4, Friday
The list will be updated as more provinces announce class suspensions.
