In a statement, the local government urged all residents to vote in the plebiscite for the cityhood of Carmona.

On Feb. 23, President Marcos signed Republic Act No. 119381, mandating the town’s cityhood.A plebiscite among Carmona residents is all that is left for the law to take effect.
