MANILA, Philippines — The state weather bureau advised dwellers in Central Luzon and Calabarzon to prepare for thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon as Typhoon Falcon (international name: Khanun) continues to enhance the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat.

Based on its 1:30 p.m. thunderstorm advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds would prevail in Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.

The thunderstorms, Pagasa noted, may prevail over these areas for around two to three hours.
