MANILA, Philippines — Six roads in the Ilocos region and Cagayan Valley remain closed to traffic for maintenance, repair and clearing operations following the impact of Typhoon Egay (international name: Doksuri), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported on Friday.

The DPWH said six of the 24 previously closed roads in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, and Cagayan are still impassable due to landslides, soil collapse, and high water elevation.
