4 suspected drug pushers killed in Quezon
LUCENA CITY—Four suspected drug pushers, two of them listed on local drug watch lists, were killed by unidentified gunmen in Quezon, police said on Friday.
In Sariaya town, Alejandro Sante Umbrete, a suspected pusher, was shot dead by an unidentified killer in Barangay Talaan Aplaya 12:30 a.m. Friday, Supt. Alex Dimaculangan, Sariaya police chief, said. The victim was included in the police drug watch list of Lucena City. He was found to have operated his illegal drug activities in some villages in Sariaya.
Another suspected drug trafficker, Midelito Montealto Chumacera, was gunned down while driving a passenger jeepney by a motorcycle riding suspect in Barangay Concepcion Uno also in Sariaya on Wednesday morning.
Dimaculangan said they were looking into the possibility that the twin killings were done by rival drug pushers.
Meanwhile, in Infanta town, Larry Agbayani, the number one drug pusher of the municipality, and one of his associates, Virgilio Peñamante, were gunned down by unidentified killers on Thursday, Chief Insp. Roberto Santos, Infanta police chief, said. They were found dead with gunshot wounds on their heads and bodies in Barangay Libjo at around 8:40 p.m.
Santos said Agbayani had long been in and out of jail but always managed to post bail.
